Privacy Policy
How Tiny Desk AI collects, uses, stores and deletes your account data, uploaded photos and generated videos.
Last updated: 2026-10-26
This Privacy Policy explains how Tiny Desk AI ("we", "us"), an independent, fan-made AI video tool, handles information when you use https://tiny-desk.org/. Tiny Desk AI is not affiliated with NPR, NPR Music, the Tiny Desk Concerts series, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band.
Information we collect
- Account information. You sign in with Google only. Google gives us your name, email address and profile picture.
- Photos you upload. The one to three photos you provide so we can make your video, including the faces shown in them.
- Generated videos. The videos we make for you, with related details such as the length you chose, the task status and the time it was created.
- Payment information. The pack you bought, the order and its payment status. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Usage and visit information. Google Analytics measures visits to the site using cookies. When you first visit, we record where you came from (for example a link or a search) in a first-visit cookie and save it with your account when you sign up.
How we use it
We use this information to make the videos you ask for, run your account and credit balance, process payments and refunds, prevent abuse, answer support requests and understand how the site is used. Your photos are used only to make your video. We don’t sell your photos, videos or personal data.
Where your photos and videos are stored
Uploaded photos and generated videos are stored in this site’s own storage on Cloudflare R2, so you can see and download your videos in your account. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Who processes your data
- The AI video provider. Your photos are sent to the AI video provider only to make your video, and the provider doesn’t keep them.
- Stripe processes payments. We never see your card number.
- Google handles sign-in and, through Google Analytics, visit measurement.
- Cloudflare stores your photos and videos (Cloudflare R2).
Each of them receives only what it needs to do its part.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your photos, your videos or your whole account at any time by emailing [email protected]. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you or ask us to correct it, and depending on where you live you may have other rights under local law.
Photos of other people and minors
Only upload photos you have the right to use. Everyone in a photo must be 18 or older and must have agreed to be in the video. Photos of minors are not allowed, and Tiny Desk AI is not meant for children.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, for Google Analytics, and for the first-visit cookie described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
