Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Tiny Desk AI at https://tiny-desk.org/. By using the service you agree to them.

The service

Tiny Desk AI (tiny-desk.org) is an independent, fan-made AI video tool. You upload one to three photos and it makes a vertical AI video of the “Outstanding” Tiny Desk trend: the end of Charlie Wilson’s Tiny Desk performance of “Outstanding,” re-created shot by shot with the people in your photos as the band.

Tiny Desk AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NPR, NPR Music, the Tiny Desk Concerts series, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, the musicians in the clip, TikTok, or any creator whose clip is shown on the site. “Tiny Desk” is NPR’s name.

Accounts

You sign in with a Google account; there is no other way to create an account. You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it.

What you may upload

• Only photos you own or otherwise have the right to use.
• Everyone in a photo must be 18 or older and must have agreed to be in the video.
• No photos of minors, celebrities or public figures. Pets are fine.

What you may not do

You agree not to use Tiny Desk AI to:

• create nudity or sexual content, or hateful or harassing content;
• create deceptive deepfakes, or pass off a video as real footage of a person;
• infringe anyone’s privacy, image or other rights;
• attack, overload or misuse the service.

When you share a video made with Tiny Desk AI, label it as AI-generated. We may refuse to make, or remove, content that breaks these rules, and we may suspend accounts that do.

Your videos

You keep whatever rights you have in the photos you upload, and you allow us to store and process them only to provide the service to you. You may use the videos you make for personal fun and to share on social media, labeled as AI-generated. These Terms don’t give you any commercial rights beyond that.

Credits and payments

• Credits are sold in one-time packs through Stripe, priced in US dollars. There is no subscription.
• Credits never expire and can’t be transferred to another account.
• A 6-second video costs 6 credits, a 10-second video 13 credits and a 15-second video 20 credits.
• A shot that fails is retried once for free. If it fails again, or if the video model’s content check refuses your photos, the credits for that video are returned to your balance automatically.

Refunds

If you aren’t happy with a finished video, email [email protected] and we will refund the payment in money to your original payment method.

AI results

AI results vary from one render to the next. A video won’t be an exact copy of the original every time, and we don’t guarantee that a video will look a particular way. The service is provided “as is,” and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Review your video before you share it.

Ending your use

You can stop using Tiny Desk AI at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, or when we have to for legal or security reasons.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Tiny Desk AI after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
